FM Systems

How does FM system works?

FM is a personal radio (walkie-talkie) like system transmitting from a transmitter to any number of individual body worn receiving devices. In a Personal FM System which is suitable for small group settings, the transmitter is worn directly by the speaker with an integrated microphone (mobile version) or placed in the middle of a group where speeches can be picked up. Speech signal is then sent to the FM receiver which is being worn by the hearing aid users. In a Semi-Fixed FM System which is used for larger areas like theatre, the transmitter can be connected to the AV/PA system and sounds can be transmitted directly to the FM receiver worn by the hearing aid user.
