Lateral Therapy Training
Areas in the left as well in the right hemisphere of our brain work together to analyse sound and assign meaning to it. Lateral Training stimulates both brain hemispheres simultaneously, to enable faster and more permanent learning. This is a powerful tool for learning /re-learning comprehension of difficult to hear letters and letter combinations.
Therapy involves listening to a recorded voice and your own voice, while both voices traveling from one ear to the other. This exercise may be combined with reading (visual input) at the same time text is heard, which allows the creation of correct new mental images of words and letter combinations.
Lateral Therapy requires desktop equipment with, MP3 or CD connection, client and teacher headphones with integrated microphones. For this training you are wearing headphones (and your hearing aids). As audio input uses two microphones, CD or MP3 might be used.
